New Trier High School Expansion

Invited Competition Entry, Spring 2014

The current campus is a collection of disparate buildings and additions built over the hundred-plus years of the school’s existence.  The proposed addition would nearly double the classroom floor area, as well as adding a desperately needed hub for campus life.  The addition is a large industrial loft structure, opening on a large triple-height atrium in the center while offering a serene arched-brick facade to the street, in keeping with the oldest of the campus structures.

Completed while at HBRA Architects.
