Winter 2016 – Winter 2017 (expected)
A restaurant tenant improvement within the landmarked Dunbar Hotel in South Central Los Angeles, this project wrestles with the building’s rich history as a centerpiece in the development of West Coast jazz, echoing the curvilinear forms of streamline moderne and polished terrazzo floors, while highlighting the structure’s patina with exposed brick and retrofitted shotcrete walls, all within the tight bounds of a listed historic structure.
